A New Group Forming: AutoFreeSTL

Here is a message from some dedicated pedestrian advocates:

An amazing and outrageous notion ! but wouldn't it be great if cars were reduced by only 50%....

AutoFreeSTL is a free on-line Yahoo group for the sharing of information about public transit in St Louis. As you all know, Metro may work for you if you understand the system (but that takes a lot of effort) and users of transit are usually considered second-class citizens. We need each other, and St Louis needs us! This group was founded by Cheryl Hammond, a member of Sierra Club and Citizens for Modern Transit.

You can access the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AutoFreeSTL/

Specific grievances should be addressed to customer service@metrostlouis.org.
Metro is getting to know me because I frequently offer constructive criticism as well as complaints. The more of us who do this, perhaps the more we will be acknowledged - especially regarding lack of signage and information about route changes.

Compliments are important too - Metro needs to know what it's doing right
(same address). Riders of the new # 56 take note and spread the word.

Metro - use it or lose it.
